Breast Cancer Awareness month is a time to honor breast cancer survivors and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer, like dear friend and member of our tribe, Lesa Sorrentino. A couple years ago a group of us walked in her honor at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
We loved being a part of the race and supporting our thriving survivor sister but if you can’t run this year, remember there are other ways to support survivors and the cause. A number of area businesses are offering specials in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Here are some of the restaurants and businesses offering to donate in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness so please get out, eat, drink and remind others of the importance of early screening!
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is making a toast to make an impact. Throughout the month of October, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille will donate $5 for every Cucumber Blueberry Martini or a Rosé Collins ordered, to breast cancer awareness.
